*1 | Daily Cleaning White
This is the menu to refresh the White Ink inside the Print Heads and the Tubes. Shake the White Ink Cartridges for agitation before you execute this menu. Go to Shake it! page for further information. You can manage the volume of flushing with the menu [ Daily Cleaning W Setting ] below. Save your money!
|
*2 | Print Data Load
GT-3 can read the AR3 data in USB Flash Drive. If you want to use other memory, e.g. CompactFlash like GT-541/782, then use some memory card reader.
|
*3 | Print Direction
GT-541's Uni-Directional print is only available in one design type (arp file). In GT-3 and also GT-782, you can set Uni-Directional by printer driver when the printer menu is "AUTO". You can also fix Uni-Directional/Bi-Directional print with this menu. You can see icon on the panel when the print data in GT-3 is going to print Uni-Directionally.
|
*4 | White Tube Cleaning
GT-381/GT-361 can retrieve White Ink inside the Tubes only when you select [ All Whites ]. Click here for more information.
|
*5 | Load White
You can use this menu to load White Ink when the Maintenance Solution is already filled with the Tubes, after Tube Cleaning. A little confusing if you are a GT-782 user...
|
*6 | Initial Cleaning
When you execute Initial Cleaning for White, prepare Maintenance Cartridge W and the bottle filled with Maintenance Solution. White Ink cannot be loaded alone in an empty dry tube, or so many air bubbles appear in the ink and you cannot print properly with many missing nozzles.
CMYK inks can do as usual.
|
*7 | Maintenance Parts Exchange
Select this menu when you actually exchange the Maintenance Parts, e.g. Wiper Cleaner, Flushing Felt and Sponge, Exhaust Fan Filter and Roller Felts. This is simply because the GT-3 refreshes the timer to tell you the next timing of exchange.
Select the Nozzle Cleaning menu below when you just want to check the situation.
|
*8 | CR Speed Adjustment
Execute this menu when you clean and grease up the CR Guide Shaft. You can do it when you fell the CR movement is not smooth. See the Chapter 7 in the Instruction Manual.
|
*9 | Flushing Interval
This menu can increase/decrease the number of flushing while printing. Select the smaller number (e.g. every 20 lines) when you feel the print quality is getting "patchy" in printing, your room may be dry. You can save a little amount of ink by selecting [ Every 52 lines ] in a pretty humid condition. See the Chapter 7 in the Instruction Manual.
|
*10 | Flushing Volume
This menu can increase/decrease the volume of flushing. Select [ More ] when you feel the print quality is not good at the beginning of the print, ink splashing in dry condition. You can save a little amount of ink by selecting [ less ] in a pretty humid condition. See the Chapter 7 in the Instruction Manual.
|
*11 | Daily Cleaning W Setting
You can control the volume of flushing white ink in Daily Cleaning White. But please be careful when you change this menu: for example, you print all day long with white ink, and you start your job again tomorrow morning, then you can save the white ink simply because the white ink has run through the tube. Just shake your cartridges and save ink. BUT you will have to increase the volume when you leave the GT-381/361 weekend or a little longer, then be sure to change the menu to 100% or larger, or the whiteness of the white ink will never be stable.
Go to Shake it! page for further information.
|
*12 | Auto Job Delete
Print data is deleted after the preset number of prints is done. Default is OFF.
|
*13 | GT-341 Mode
This menu changes the operation of GT-381/GT-361 to GT-341, as if there were no White Print Heads mounted. No flushing, No printing. For those who will stop printing with White Ink. Please ask your dealers or Brother for preparation.
|
*14 | Platen Reset
The Platen moves to the center position, you can remove the Rear Cover without projecting the Platen.
