GT-541 Reference Guide: Edit pictures

********* Clear watercolor and deep oil paints *********

To express the gentle feeling of watercolor on a T-shirt, GT-541 water based ink is remarkable. Deep touches of oil paints, lovely color pencils, etc. will be reproduced on a T-shirt, too. No matter what kind of graphic quality you want to accomplish, it all starts from loading the image successfully into the computer. Of course, you can try images of water paintings or oil paintings designed by graphic designing applications.

Generally, most original images are scanned in. It is recommended to take time to scan in an image at a high resolution. And then edit (sharpen) the image by using a graphic designing application such as Photoshop. Set the resolution of the scanner a little higher than the print data, 300dpi or higher. For further information about resolution, go to Artwork Size & Resolution for resolution.

Open with a graphic designing application. See the sample of trimmed hibiscus. Or you can scrape and vignette the edge of the picture just like the canvas.

Or use Vivid Processing and Double Printing menu of Printer Driver. Refer to Vivid Processing and Double Printing pages. Vivid Processing turns vague colors clear and strong, and Double Printing widen the color gamut of GT-541.

Also pay an attention to the platen height before setting a T-shirt. The height is always at "A" position, at the left end, if you only print T-shirts. This platen-height very much influences the accuracy of the printing.

How did it print out? You can also arrange the original image by the application, but, Please master Printer Driver settings, too. It's really convenient.
