If you have some favorite photos, you will have beautiful T-shirts designs. Simply Adding frames and letters will be OK. I will show you how a photo turns into T-shirt artwork by Adobe Photoshop, even if the photo is rather small and its resolution is low.

To Print Photos as "photo"

This is the original. Under the fluorescent lights, the photo looks a litte greener and darker.

Compare with the editted one below.

Select Photoshop's [ Image ] > [ Adjustments ] > [ Color Balance... ] and move the middle scaler to the magenta side. This will change your photo natural. Then arrange the image a little lighter, we usually do with tone curve --- to pick the center position of the line and move up slightly, which change the input/output RGB

--- but you also do with the menu [ Blightness/Contrast ].

These steps will make your photo more beautifull and photogenic! The point is "to make white color WHITE". Look at the dog's face. If there is color in artwork, there would be printed ink on T-shirt. Keep the white as "White, RGB=255" not to print unnecessary ink. That's the point.

Or you can make your photo vignetted. The simplist way is to erase the edge by the eraser tool or to use mask tool.

Add some frames and clipart. This is the best way for Birthday gift.

To arrange smaller and low-resolution photos

This photo is taken by cellular phone ( 132 x 176 pixels, 72ppi ) . It is OK on PC monitor, but too small on T-shirt. So why not edit the photo to make new artwork. You can do lots of effect filters with Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and other applications.

Before using filter, make the resolution higher. 72dpi to 300dpi. Or multiple Pixel Dimension's Width / Height values by about 5 times, by bicubic. The image will looks very rough, but it's OK.

This image is made by selecting Photoshop [ Filter ] [ Sketch ] [ Graphic pen ] with the drawing color "black" and erasing color "white". Now you can enlarge the small cat photo at the maximum T-shirt size!

This is another arrangement of the cat photo. Erace the unnecessary color. Add the new layer below and paint with dark orange and brown by using Photoshop filter "clouds". Go back to the black graphic pen layer and change this layer into "screen". Then the cat looks natural. Then add letters at the bottom.

Make drawing picture from photo

This is a dog face. This is made by selecting Photoshop [ range ] > [ color ] and paint as I like. It looks like a posterized picture. Now you will feel as if you were Andy Warhol!
