Ink Volume
|
|
The one of
the attractive things about GT-541 is that it can print on almost any kind of
fabrics, except for those that cannot be ironed in high temperature. Although
it is specified to fix the printed artwork at 356F (180C) for 35 seconds,
it can be fixed at lower temperature as long as the ink is sufficiently
cured. However, just leaving in the room after printing will not fix the
artwork on a T-shirt.
Our ink is specially developed for heavy 100% cotton T-shirts. Therefore ink
volume is adjusted for printing T-shirts that are made of heavy 100% cotton
fabrics such as Hanes and Fruitsoftheloom, you can print on thinner fabric
or blended fabrics by setting optimum ink volume.
The following explains how to control with Printer Driver, and rough standard
for ink volume. Please note that the following setting in Printer Driver
is nothing more than just the standard. The bleeding and color
development are influenced not only by the material of the fabrics but also
the weaves of the fabrics and even the room temperature. So we strongly
recommend you to do test print before the actual printing.

Test Print
|
|
There is a test print data in Printer Driver
Utility (available only when Brother GT-541 printer is selected).
|
|
|
|
Choose "InkVolume check
pattern" and click [ Print ] button and the test pattern below will be
sent to GT-541.
Set the NoColor__70ia on the platen and print to find out the best level of the ink
volume for the balance of minimum blurs and maximum colors.
|
|
|
|
The data on the leftmost [ 10 ] is
default "No Ink Volume Cutting", the standard for heavy weight
T-shirts. If blurs or bleeds, select the number underneath of the acceptable
test pattern and set the level with the slide bar.

|
Standard index based on materials, thickness, and weaves
|
|
The
followings are "our
investigation result" we have get. But
again, print quality depends on the thickness of NoColor__70ia, material, weaving
style, humidity of the room, artwork (dark / pale colors), so on and so
forth. Try test print and develop your own skills.
Printer Driver
doesn't allow to use Double Printing and Ink Volume 9-1 together. If you
manually push Print Button "double" to do "manual" double
printing, you can print ink-cut print data double. This will need testing,
but sometimes it is practically right way to do for your prints.
