GT-541 Reference Guide: Tour to Printer Driver

Vivid Processing

This menu changes vague and grayish colors in print data without retouching the original artwork. The impressions will be greatly changed so you need some trial before being a master of vivid processing.

Default "0" is monitor matching image. As the number goes bigger, the print image will be vivider and stronger. But remember this menu does not increase the maximum amount of ink. Also maximum RGB value colors like "black R=G=B=0", "red "R=255, G=B=0" does not change either. In that case, use Double Printing so that the color gamut of GT-541 will be wider.

Here is a example: try it with your data.

Vivid Processing: 0 (default)
ink: 0.74cc

for monitor matching

Vivid Processing: 1
ink: 0.87cc

for photos and delicate graphics.

Vivid Processing: 2
ink: 1.10cc

for photos with low-contrast, artwork in CMYK color mode

Vivid Processing: 3
ink: 1.32cc

for artwork in CMYK color mode, vague and dull colors, some scanned images

Vivid Processing: 4
ink: 1.44cc

maximum vivid processing.
better to do test print first because sometimes it goes too much.
