You can enter a comment here, size, volume, etc. which is indicated on LCD of GT-782, instead of the file name. But only 17 letters are available. If this box is left blank, "Job Name" LCD only indicates the file name.

Platen Size
|
|
|
Platen 14x16 is standard. We have option platen 10x12 (Youth), platen 7x8 (Baby) and platen 16x18 (Large). With GT File Output you can see the layout and other information. When GT-782 receives print data with the different platen size, a sound "ping-pong-pong-pong"
rings.
Use youth or baby platens when you print tanks, bags, aprons.
Take care of the platen height when you change platens, at any time. Print with Uni-directional print if necessary.
Do not switch the left/right platens. The gap between print heads and the platen surface is severe. If you switch the platen, then the timing of the firing will fail.
When you make print data by 10" x 12" platen size and use 14" x 16" platen in print, you can print but notice that the print data is located in the center middle.

Ink: Color + White
|
|
|
Print color ink on white mask layer. You can also select if you use black ink or not with check box.
|
|
|
Print with Black ink
|
|
|
When you print on a black T-shirt, the T-shirt black is much darker than the ink black. Without black ink but with the base T-shirt color, the print image will look highly-contrasted and sharpen.
Also you can save ink. In this case, RGB=0 black is a Transparent Color.

|
Ink: White Only
|
|
|
You can print an image as white monochrome or written with white chalk. Use when you want to print only with white ink.
|
|
|
Ink: Color Only
|
|
|
Just like GT-541, GT-782 prints with CMYK color inks.
|
|
|
White Volume: Mask
|
|
|
You can control the thickness of the mask layer. When you print on a light color garment like pale pink, light yellow, sand, select 1 or 2. When you print with "Ink: White Only" or print on colorless garment like black, gray, select 3. 3 produces smoothest white-gray-black
gradation. When you print on vivid color garment, much thicker white mask layer is nessary. Select 4 or 5 to cover the surface color.

White Volume: Highlight
|
|
|
You can print "double" white ink layer under lighter and vivid colors to print brighter colors. When you select either 1-3, then the double-print icon is indicated on the control panel. It takes time but you will never go back to the single layer...

Color Processing: Satulation
|
|
|
GT-541 "Vivid Processing" has been improved: additional control of saturation/contrast brings finer control of colors. When you print an image with CMYK color mode, select 10-30. Test print when you select higher than 30, because sometimes it changes colors too
much. Better not to use more than 20 when you print human faces: he/she will soon print "drunk" or "sunburnt". If you like GT-541 output, select only contrast as 10, 20, 30 and 40.

GT-541 "Vivid Processing" has been improved: separated control of saturation/contrast brings finer control of colors. When you print an image with CMYK color mode, select 10-20 together with saturation. Test print when you select higher than 30, because sometimes
it changes colors too much. If you like GT-541 output, select only contrast as 10, 20, 30 and 40.

When you click this button, all the changed settings will go back to the default value.
