GT-782 Cookbook: Test Data
********* View your test designs *********
The most important test data are
Nozzle Check Pattern
and
Standard Check Pattern
in printer. Nozzle Check Pattern is inevitable for pre-print check. Standard Check Pattern is something like questionaire in medical examination. Not only mis-firing, it can tell everything of your printer's conditions. For example, print head alignment can be checked like that --- if you can see some color is shifting from other colors like photos below.
Or some print head might be spreading ink mists. In that case check the surface of the print head nozzles, and clean them with Nozzle Cleaning Kit, swabs (cleaning applicators) and wash liquid.
There are some other cases that we have to print specific patterns to know what's going on. GT-541 has that print data in the printer driver utility menu. But GT-782's menu is more simple. You can print just like other arp files.
GT-ColorChart.arp
GT-ColorChart is upgraded. This data can be printed either by GT-541 or GT-782. If you want to check with white ink, or with different settings,
open PDF image file in Useful Tools
and print.
GT-InkVolume.arp
This data is the same with the one in GT-541 printer driver. Check the print result if ink is "enough" or "too much" on a specific garment.
GT-WhiteVolume.arp
You can check white ink volume of Mask/Highlight layers. The upper five images are Mask 1-2-3-4-5. The bottom 3 x 3 images are Mask 3-4-5 plus Highlight 1-2-3.
CMYK_HeadTestPattern.arp
Print this file when you are asked by technical support if CMYK print heads work well.
W_HeadTestPattern.arp
Print this file when you are asked by technical support if white print heads work well. When you double-click this file, only you can see is W3 data, but it is just a matter of GT File Viewer.
